Adoration Search helps you find Catholic churches and chapels offering Eucharistic Adoration with Exposition by providing tools for filtering chapels and planning visits, including Adoration pilgrimages.

Please note: Many suffer from "The Flaw" which can affect how we look at a site like this. Adoration Search may seem a little too full-featured at first, but there is a reason it was designed this way.

If someone merely wants to see a list of chapels, a simpler site, even with fewer chapels to choose from, can look attractive. But for someone who actually wants to go to Adoration, this type of simplicity just transfers all the complexity to the person using it.

For someone who actually intends to go to Adoration, things like dates, times, distance, schedules, maps, directions, pilgrimage routing, and filtering aren't clutter—they're simplicity. They prevent the user from having to manually investigate every result. Adoration Search starts with many, many chapels and filters them down to a precise list for someone who really wants to go to Adoration.

If I had to guess, Yogi Berra would put it this way: “It’s simple once you figure out how complicated it is.”

You can search for Adoration by your current location, by a specific location, by a date or a range of dates, by mile radius, or by geographic areas such as country, state, and diocese. Search results can be viewed on the map and in the chapel list, where additional chapel information and Adoration schedules are available.

The Pilgrimage Planning tools let you build a personal Adoration pilgrimage from your search results. You can add chapel stops, arrange the order of your visits, review the route, and use the detailed itinerary for arrival times, chapel schedules, visit durations, directions, and other trip information. The Help topics below explain each of these features in more detail.

Below is the basic search function. The main parts of the page are:
#1 The Map. The map positions chapel markers that meet the selection criteria specified. Each marker is clickable and will show a pop-up with information related to that chapel.

#2. The Chapel List. The chapel list corresponds to the chapels on the map. The sequence number of the chapel list corresponds to the sequence number on the map chapel marker.

#3. The Selection Filters. There are two modes of Selections: Edit and Summary. In general, the Summary Selection shows what filters are in effect while taking up as little screen space as possible. You can +/- ckick to get to the Edit Selection which takes up much more space but is of course needed to make your desired selection.

Adoration Search was conceived, designed, and built by Eucharistic adorers for Eucharistic adorers—and for future Eucharistic adorers whose lives can be changed by multiple, recurring encounters with Our Lord Jesus Christ, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.

It was created with one overriding purpose: to help you find Eucharistic Adoration wherever and whenever you are, and then help you get there. This is not a system meant simply to be searched, glanced at, or admired. Its chapel information, schedules, maps, search capabilities, and pilgrimage-planning tools all exist to lead to something real: more people spending more time in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Adoration Search is a ministry of Adoration Servants, an apostolate devoted specifically to strengthening and expanding Eucharistic Adoration. It is not a side project supporting some other initiative; Eucharistic Adoration is what we do. Our hope is that Adoration Search will help you find Adoration near home, while traveling, and along the journeys of your life—and ultimately help make Eucharistic Adoration a way of life.

Put very simply, we want you to become obsessed with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, for the glory of God and the salvation of souls.

Searching by My Location uses the location of your device to find Adoration chapels near where you are currently located.

Select the My Location search radio button along with your desired Selection Filters and click the green "Submit Search" button. You must allow your browser to use your location when prompted. Adoration Search will use that location as the center of the search and display matching chapels on the map and in the chapel list.

Your browser or device controls whether location access is allowed. If your location is not detected, check the location permissions for your browser and for Adoration Search, then try the search again.

The Mile Radius and Adoration Date selections work together to determine which chapels are included in your search.

The Mile Radius controls the geographic area searched around the selected location. Choose a smaller radius when you want nearby chapels, or increase the radius when you are willing to travel farther. The radius represents geographic distance from the search location, not driving distance. If too few chapels are found, increase the radius and search again. If the results cover too large an area, reduce the radius.

Select Today to find chapels offering Eucharistic Adoration today.

To plan for another day or period of time, clear Today and enter a From and To date. Adoration Search will look for chapels with scheduled Adoration during the selected date range. This is especially helpful for finding chapels offering Adoration on a particular weekday, First Friday, or another future date in conjuction with your selection locations.

In the examples below, the maps show multiple searches with varied dates from the same locations and two differnt miles readius. Of note is the obvious situation that Sunday has very little scheduled Adoration, due, of course, to the fact that the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on Sundays takes precedence at most parishes. Another observation is that the most popular day for Adoration is 1st Friday. You can review the maps below to see the chapel differences.

Searching by a Specific Location lets you search around a place other than your current location. Enter a city, address, landmark, parish, or other location that identifies the area where you want to search.

This is useful when planning ahead for travel or when you want to find Adoration near a destination before you arrive. After selecting the location, run the search to display matching chapels on the map and in the chapel list.

In the samples below, vaious destinations have been entered so Adoration Search can find chapels in that area based not only on the Location but also the Miles Radius and Date Selections.

Pay special attention to the final Fisherman's Wharf sample at the end. In this situation, a person staying for three days at the Wharf looks to have many Adoration options but when s/he enters only the three days stay, the options are much less.

Adoration Pilgrimage Planning helps you find Eucharistic Adoration chapels along a journey and organize the chapels you would like to visit. Enter a starting location and an ending location, select the mile radius and Adoration dates, and submit the search. Adoration Search will display the route and the chapels that match your selections. You can then create a pilgrimage, add chapels as stops, arrange the stops in the order you want to visit them, and use the itinerary for directions and planning.

Pilgrimage Planning lets you turn chapel search results into a personal Adoration pilgrimage.

Begin by activating Pilgrimage Planning and identifying the starting and ending locations for your trip. Search for chapels along or near the area you plan to travel, then use Make a Stop to add the chapels you want to visit. A chapel may be added more than once when your pilgrimage requires more than one visit to the same location.

The Trip tab shows the stops that have been added to your pilgrimage. You can change their order to build the sequence of visits you want. The pilgrimage map updates to show the route and numbered stops.

The Itinerary provides the detailed trip plan, including the order of stops, estimated arrival information, driving time and distance, chapel Adoration schedules, planned visit duration, comments, and directions. QR codes and direction links make it easy to transfer directions to a phone and continue navigation while traveling.

In the sample below, several chapels have been added as stops and arranged into a personal Adoration pilgrimage.

Select Pilgrimage Planning under the Search By options. Enter your starting and ending locations, choose the mile radius, and select Today or enter a range of dates. Select Submit Search to display the route and matching chapels. After reviewing the results, select Plan New Pilgrimage. The new pilgrimage will appear under My Pilgrimages and become the active pilgrimage so that chapels can be added as stops.

The starting location identifies where your pilgrimage will begin, and the ending location identifies where it will finish. Begin typing a street address, city, parish, landmark, or other recognized place and select the appropriate location from the suggestions. Choosing a suggestion allows Adoration Search to obtain the exact location needed to calculate and display the route. The starting and ending locations can be in the same general area or hundreds of miles apart.

The mile radius determines how far from the pilgrimage route Adoration Search looks for chapels. A smaller radius keeps the results closer to the route, while a larger radius may find more chapels but can require traveling farther away from the direct route.

Select Today to search for chapels offering Adoration today. To plan for another day or period of time, clear Today and enter starting and ending dates. Adoration Search will look for chapels with scheduled Adoration during the selected date range. If too few chapels are found, increase the mile radius or broaden the date range and search again.

After the search is submitted, Adoration Search draws the route between the starting and ending locations and displays matching chapels along that route. The Chapels list contains the same chapels represented by the numbered markers on the map. Select a chapel in the list or select its marker to review its name, address, distance, telephone number, website, Adoration schedule, and available directions. Adjust the radius or dates and submit the search again if you would like to see different results.

The starting and ending locations mark the beginning and destination of the pilgrimage. Red numbered markers identify chapels found by the search, and their numbers match the chapels in the Chapels list. When a chapel is added to the active pilgrimage, it is shown as a green numbered stop. The green numbers identify the order of the selected pilgrimage stops. If the stops are reordered in the itinerary, their numbering and route are updated to reflect the new order.

Adding Chapels as Pilgrimage Stops

A pilgrimage must be active before chapels can be added to it. Select a chapel marker or its entry in the Chapels list to open the chapel information. Then select Make This Stop. The chapel will be added to the active pilgrimage and displayed as a green numbered marker. Continue reviewing chapels and adding stops until the pilgrimage includes the places you want to visit.

A pilgrimage must be active before chapels can be added to it. Select a chapel marker or its entry in the Chapels list to open the chapel information. Then select Make This Stop. The chapel will be added to the active pilgrimage and displayed as a green numbered marker. Continue reviewing chapels and adding stops until the pilgrimage includes the places you want to visit.

Open the Trip tab to view the pilgrimages associated with the current browser. Each pilgrimage is identified by its starting location, ending location, and number of selected stops. Select Activate to make a pilgrimage active. Its saved search information and stops will be restored, and any chapels subsequently added will be added to that pilgrimage. Only one pilgrimage can be active at a time. The active pilgrimage is highlighted, and its Activate button changes to Itinerary.

The order in which chapels were added does not have to be the final visiting order. In the itinerary, drag a chapel stop to a new position and drop it where you want it to appear. Adoration Search saves the new order and updates the stop numbers, route legs, and calculated itinerary information. Review the resulting route after rearranging stops to make sure it follows the journey you intend to take.

Select Itinerary for the active pilgrimage, or open the Itinerary tab, to view the complete trip. The itinerary begins with the starting location, shows each selected chapel in pilgrimage order, and ends with the final destination. It includes route information, estimated driving time and distance, arrival information, the chapel's Adoration schedule, planned visit duration, comments, and directions. The itinerary can be revised as the pilgrimage is developed.

Each chapel stop includes a Visit Duration and a Comments field. Visit Duration indicates how long you plan to remain at that chapel and is used when calculating later arrival times. The default visit duration is 30 minutes, but it can be changed for each stop. Use Comments for reminders such as parking information, chapel access instructions, a planned prayer intention, or other notes useful during the pilgrimage. Changes are saved with the pilgrimage stop.

Each itinerary stop provides directions for the corresponding part of the journey. Select the directions link to open driving directions on the device you are using. A printed itinerary can also include a QR code for each stop. Scan the QR code with a phone to open that route segment on the phone and use it with the phone's navigation or CarPlay. Each route segment leads from the preceding location to the next pilgrimage stop.

To remove one chapel from a pilgrimage, select the trashcan beside that stop. Only the selected stop is removed; the pilgrimage and its other stops remain. The remaining stops are renumbered and the route is updated.

To delete the entire pilgrimage, select the trashcan in the pilgrimage heading under My Pilgrimages and confirm the deletion. Deleting a pilgrimage removes the pilgrimage and all of its selected stops, so use this option only when the complete trip is no longer needed.

Adoration Search currently saves pilgrimages without requiring a username or password. A browser token connects the pilgrimages you create with the browser being used. When you return with the same browser, open the Trip tab to retrieve the pilgrimages listed under My Pilgrimages and activate the one you want to continue using.

The browser token currently lasts for 30 days. Clearing browser cookies, using private browsing, changing browsers, or using another device can prevent previously created pilgrimages from appearing. Until permanent user accounts are available, retain a printed itinerary or other copy of important pilgrimage information.

Pilgrimage Planning allows you to make your saved pilgrimages available on more than one device or browser. For example, you might plan a pilgrimage on your desktop computer and later want to view the same pilgrimage on your phone or tablet while traveling.

Because Adoration Search does not require you to create an account or sign in, your pilgrimages are initially associated with the individual browser you are using. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and browsers on your other devices are each treated separately.

The **Trip Token** sharing features allow you to connect these browsers so they can access the same pilgrimages.

#### Naming Your Device/Browser

Under **My Pilgrimages**, Adoration Search displays a **Device/Browser** name. Giving each browser a recognizable name makes it much easier to understand which browsers you have connected.

For example:

**iPad - Safari**
**Travel Laptop - Chrome**

The browser name is added automatically. You supply the name that identifies the device.

Click the small **edit icon** beside the Device/Browser name whenever you want to change it.

Your Device/Browser name is stored in that browser. Therefore, different browsers on the same physical computer can have different names and are treated as separate browsers for pilgrimage sharing.

#### Sharing Your Pilgrimages With Another Device or Browser

To begin sharing from a browser that already contains your pilgrimages, click **Offer Share**.

Adoration Search will display a **Group Token**. This is the code that allows another browser to join the same group of pilgrimages.

Copy the Group Token and take it to the other device or browser you want to connect.

On the other device or browser, open Pilgrimage Planning and click **Accept Share**. Paste the Group Token into the box provided and accept the share.

That browser will then have access to the pilgrimages belonging to the shared group.

If the receiving browser has not previously used Pilgrimage Planning and does not yet have its own Trip Token, Adoration Search will create one automatically as part of accepting the share.

#### What Does “Shared +” Mean?

When your browser belongs to a pilgrimage sharing group, the Trip Token line displays **Shared +**.

Click **Shared +** to see the Device/Browser names currently associated with the shared pilgrimage group.

The display changes to **Shared -** while the list is open. Click it again to hide the list.

This list is particularly useful when you use several devices or several browsers on the same device. Instead of trying to remember which browsers you have connected, you can see the members of the sharing group directly from Pilgrimage Planning.

#### Changes Made on Another Device

When another device or browser accepts your share, Adoration Search periodically checks for the change. The **My Pilgrimages** list will automatically refresh when the newly shared browser is detected.

This means that if you have the two devices open side by side while setting up sharing, you should see the newly connected browser and its pilgrimages appear without manually refreshing the page.

#### Offering a Share From More Than One Browser

Normally, you should establish one sharing group and then use its Group Token to connect your other browsers.

If separate browsers independently create different sharing groups, they will have different Group Tokens and will not automatically become one group. For that reason, once you have established the group you want to use, use **Accept Share** on your other browsers to join that existing group.

The Device/Browser names and the **Shared +** list help you keep track of which browsers have been connected.

#### Revoking a Share

Click **Revoke** when you no longer want the current browser to participate in its sharing group.

Adoration Search will ask you to confirm the action before the share is revoked.

Revoking removes that browser from the sharing group. It does not mean that the pilgrimages themselves are being deleted.

If necessary, the browser can later be connected to a sharing group again using **Accept Share**.

#### Important: Your Browser Is Your Identity

There is currently no Adoration Search username or password required for Pilgrimage Planning. Your browser uses a cookie containing its Trip Token to identify its pilgrimages and sharing relationship.

This has a few important consequences:

- Different browsers on the same computer are treated as different browsers.
- Your phone, tablet, desktop, and laptop each have their own browser identity.
- Private or incognito browsing should not be used for pilgrimages you want to retain.
- Clearing the browser's Adoration Search cookies can remove the browser's ability to identify its previously associated pilgrimages.

The sharing system is designed primarily to let **one pilgrim use his or her pilgrimages across multiple devices and browsers**. Although the same mechanism can technically be used to share pilgrimages between people, its primary purpose is to make your own pilgrimage plans available wherever you need them.

Once your devices are connected, you can plan on the device that is most convenient and then access those pilgrimages from the browser you intend to use during the pilgrimage.

The Country, State, and Diocese selections let you narrow Adoration Search to a particular geographic or Church jurisdiction.

Start with the broadest selection and continue narrowing the search as needed. For example, select a country, then a state, and then a diocese when those selections are available. You do not have to narrow the search to every level.

This search method is useful when you want to explore Adoration throughout a diocese or geographic area rather than searching around one particular address.

In the sample below, the selections have been narrowed to the geographic area to be searched.

This can cause confusion if a location well outside of Rhode Island it checked. Like California for example. The map will be repositioned to California but not chapels will will be shown.

As a resulos the milage radius and anyother selection filter chapel results can include chapels outside the state of Rhode Island.

When City/Chapel Search By is selected there are two dropdown lists, Cities and Chapels. The Cities are populated based on the Country/State/Diocese selections made. Only cites with chapels will be displayed. The chapel dropdown list is only populated based on the City selected. In the sample below you can see all the cities for all Country/State/Diocese are filled in the city dropdown list.

Cities can also searched by typing in city names which will be used to filter only matching cities. In the sample below we are looking for "Springfield" and you should be able to see how the selections change as the city name gets typed in.

Note that once a State is Chosen the Diocese Dropdown list will only include dioceses within that state.

Once a city is selected, Johnson City in the example below, it will become the center point for the chapel searm and map plotting.

Search results are displayed on the map and in the chapel list. The map provides a visual view of where the matching chapels are located, while the chapel list provides the detailed information associated with each result.

Select a chapel or its map marker to view its available information, including its location and recorded Adoration schedule. Depending on the chapel record, additional information such as its website, telephone number, and other details may also be available.

When a pilgrimage is active, the map also displays the pilgrimage route and numbered pilgrimage stops. These numbered markers correspond to the order of the stops in your trip.

In the sample below, selecting a chapel on the map displays the information associated with that chapel.

The Adoration Search mobile app is intentionally very different from the AdorationSearch.org website. The mobile app has one immediate purpose: to help you find Eucharistic Adoration today, near where you are right now. It uses your current location and shows Adoration chapels in relation to your actual location. It is not intended for searching for chapels in another city or state, or for finding Adoration that will be available on a future date. In a sense, if the mobile app could talk, it would say: “You need to go to Adoration today, and worry about tomorrow tomorrow.”

The AdorationSearch.org website is the more comprehensive Adoration Search and planning system. It allows you to search beyond your current location, look for Adoration on different days or dates, explore chapels in other locations, and use more advanced features such as Pilgrimage Planning. When you need capabilities beyond finding Adoration near you today, the mobile app provides a link to the website in the app's Explore section.

The website itself can be viewed in two different ways. On a desktop or laptop computer, it uses a desktop view designed to take advantage of the larger screen. On a phone or other smaller device, the same website uses a responsive mobile design. This is not the Adoration Search mobile app. It is the AdorationSearch.org website displayed in a format designed to work on a smaller screen.

On the desktop, there is enough room to display search selections, the map, chapel lists, pilgrimage information, and other features together. On a smaller screens, trying to display everything at once would leave very little room for the map and other important information. The responsive version, therefore, organizes the major areas of the website into tabs.

Depending upon what you are doing, these tabs include Selections, Map, Chapels, Trip Itinerary, Quick Tips and Help.
Selections contains the controls used to choose how and where you want to search.
Map displays the geographic search results.
Chapels provides access to chapel lists
Trips show existing pilgrimages allows building new pilgrimages. When a pilgrimage is active, Itinerary provides access to the planned trip and its stops.
Help shows the Help text you are reading now.
Quick Tips provide assistance with the page and its features.

These tabs do not represent separate searches or separate websites. They are simply a way of organizing the same AdorationSearch.org website so that its full capabilities remain practical on a phone or other small screen. For example, you can make your choices under Selections, submit the search, and then view the results under Map or Lists without performing the search again.

The easiest way to remember the difference is this: the mobile app answers “Where can I go to Adoration near me today?” No matter where you are, the Mobile App will tell you when a chapel is nearby. WARNING: Spending serious time in Eucharistic Adoration will change your life. You will want to spend more time at Mass and Adoration. You will love your God and your neighbor more for the glory of God and the Salvation of Souls.

The website lets you search, explore, and plan beyond today and beyond your present location.

There are many, many, many countless fruits to having perpetual Eucharistic Adoration. Right now I will focus on two: the graces on a personal level and the graces at the community level, because Eucharistic Adoration is the key to self and world renewal. It first starts with a transformation of ourselves and then reaching beyond to the world.

During our Holy Hour we grow more and more into His image and likeness of Christ (Matthew 5:48). He draws people towards himself. On Adoration Mother Teresa of Calcutta wrote, "If people spent one hour a week in Eucharistic adoration, abortion would cease." Saint John Paul the second said: From the Eucharist comes strength to live the Christian life and zeal to share that life with others. (St. John Paul II) The hours that we spend in adoring Christ will help heal our own sins and create a bond that will thus heal the whole world, exposing our suffering humanity to Jesus. Adoration helps prepare us as individuals for the other sacraments. Even Jesus calls us to be with him always: This is the will of my Father that everyone who looks upon the Son and believes in Him, will

have eternal life. Him I will raise up on the last day” (John 6:40). Jesus wants us to come to him to be healed for whatever is bothering you. He is here to help us, as long as we go to him and let him.

On a personal level Adoration also gives us the grace of understanding. “The act of Adoration outside of Mass prolongs and intensifies all that takes place in

the Liturgical Celebration itself” (Pope Benedict XVII). As a whole, we need Jesus in our communities or else we will never be healed. In so many of our society we try to push God away. One example of this is taking prayer out of schools. Ever since then we have seen a rise of violence and confusion among students of all walks of life. We need God here in our community’s to call the world to a greater reverence for him and to walk with him. This is why by having adoration we will see a rise in Priests. We will also see a rise in believers and more people wanting to get involved in Parish events. “Ask the Lord of the harvest to send workers into His harvest” (Mt 9:38).

Baptism is the door to the sacraments, but Adoration open the doors to Baptism and a more deeper conversion of parishioners. “Eucharistic Adoration extends its influence far beyond the individual adorers, touching their homes and families and reaching out to the parish community and beyond” (Pope Paul VI)

Juarez, Chihuahua in northern Mexico was considered one of the most hazardous places in the world due to the horrific acts of homicides and other violence in the streets every day. Yet in 2015, the rate of homicide dropped form 3,766 to 256. Why was there such a dramatic drop? Well, Father Hileman has found out the reason why. Fr. tells of a story of a woman who used to go to holy hour at three in the morning every day. When she was stopped by soldiers in the middle of streets in the mist of violence she politely explained that even thought they were protecting the city, she was doing something better: praying. “Do you think you're protecting us? We're praying for you 24 hours a day," she said. “We put up ten little chapels in a year,” Fr. Hileman said. Then more amazing things happened. Eight seminarians turned into eighty eight. "...when you hear God better, your mind, your heart is more tranquil, you're there alone for God. If you are generous with Jesus, he is a thousand times more generous with you,” Fr. Hileman said. Hileman says he owns it all too perpetual adoration. It not only affected his Parish but also his whole city.

Eucharistic Adoration gives us an opportunity to spend time in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration Search was created to make it easier to find opportunities for Adoration wherever you are and to help you make those visits part of your daily life, travels, and personal pilgrimages.

Use Adoration Search not simply to locate a chapel, but to help answer a practical question: Where can I go to visit Jesus today? Eucharistic Adoration should be a way of life for us all.

In the second 1674 Sacred Heart apparition to St Margaret Mary, Jesus showed His Divine Heart, surrounded by flames, a crown of thorns, and a wound, symbolizing His love and suffering. He called for a greater love & devotion to the Eucharist. He complained His wonderous love meets with so much ingratitude. He called for acts of reparation for sins.

Jesus warned lack of devotion to the Eucharist is a rejection of His love, which He continuously offers in that Sacrament. “I meet with coldness & ingratitude on every side. Console me.”

True devotion to the Sacred Heart includes adoring, making reparation to, and consoling Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.
